These are needed for the website to work and to honour your choices. They do not need your consent.

• safeside_consent. Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we do not ask you on every page. Set by this website. Kept for six months.

That is the only cookie set by default.

If you choose "Accept analytics cookies" on the banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages people read and where they leave. This helps us improve the site. It does not tell us who you are.

• _ga, _ga_<id>. Set by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors and sessions. IP addresses are anonymised. Kept for up to two years.

We use Google Consent Mode, so if you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded and none of these cookies are set. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies of any kind.

We do not currently embed third party content such as maps or videos that would set their own cookies. If we add any in future, it will load only after you have consented, and we will update this policy.

Your choice is stored in the safeside_consent cookie for six months, after which we ask again. To change it sooner, clear this site's cookies in your browser settings and the banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies for any website through your browser. Blocking the essential cookie will simply mean the banner shows on every visit.
